Szabadics Ride – Company Challenge 2026

The Szabadics Ride – Company Challenge offers an exciting opportunity for corporate teams of four or five riders to compete in the stunning natural environment of the Little Balaton, on a 38 km flat course.

The Company Challenge is held in both RACE and HOBBY categories, allowing both experienced cyclists and recreational riders to compete as a team.

Programme

The detailed programme of the Szabadics Ride will be announced after the close of registration and sent directly to all teams via email, as well as published on our website.

Race Category: teams start at 1-minute intervals
Hobby Category: teams start at 2-minute intervals
Blocks I–II / from 08:30 and 11:00: Hobby team starts
Blocks III–IV / from 13:00 and 15:00: Race team starts
20:30 – Awards ceremony & prize giving, Gala dinner – Hotel MenDan Magic 4* superior

The exact start order and official start times will be sent to all teams after registration closes.

Course information

Distance / Elevation gain: 38 km / 117 m
Refreshment: Post-finish refreshments available after crossing the finish line
Route: Zalakaros, Karos Korzó – Zalakaros Szőlő Street – Zalakaros Park Street – Zalakaros Petőfi Sándor Street – Garabonc – Zalaszabar – Zalavár – Balatonmagyaród – Zalakomár – Zalakaros Petőfi Sándor Street – Zalakaros Park Street – Zalakaros Szőlő Street – Zalakaros Karos Korzó
During the time trial, teams ride approximately 90% of the distance on open public roads, behind a lead motorbike ensuring route guidance and safety.
As car traffic may be present throughout the course, teams are strongly reminded to comply with all Hungarian traffic regulations (KRESZ).

TIMING: Chip timing will be used. Team time is calculated based on the full 38 km race distance. Results will be posted at the venue after the race and made available for download on the event website.

REGISTRATION & RACE PACK

Teams may submit their registration for the Szabadics Ride – Company Challenge 2026 by clicking the link provided on the official event website.
Registration is open until 14 June 2026.
On-site registration is not available.

Entry Fees (per team):

Szabadics Ride – HOBBY Category: 100,000 HUF + VAT (127,000 HUF gross)
Szabadics Ride – RACE Category: 100,000 HUF + VAT (127,000 HUF gross)

Registration Requirements

Each team must consist of minimum 4 and maximum 5 members.
Teams with at least 2 female riders receive a 10% discount on the entry fee.
Only teams whose payment has been received before the registration deadline will be placed on the official start list.

CATEGORIES & PARTICIPATION RULES

Only corporate teams, municipalities, and associations may enter the Race or Hobby events of the Company Challenge.
Minimum age: 18 years.
Race Category: At least 3 members of each team must start with a road bike (gravel, time trial, and triathlon bicycles are also accepted as road bikes).
Race Category – Men’s Division Structure: The Men’s Race Category is divided into PRO and AMATEUR divisions based on measured race time.
PRO Division: Teams whose measured time does not exceed 125.0% of the fastest team’s time.
(1st–3rd place awarded)
Teams whose time is within 0% of the fastest team’s time will automatically be placed in the PRO Division (except women’s teams).
AMATEUR Division: Teams whose measured time exceeds 125.0% of the fastest team’s time.
(1st–3rd place awarded)
Hobby Category: Teams may enter the Hobby Category only if no more than 2 riders use a road (drop-bar) bicycle.

20 June 2026 / from 07:30 – Zalakaros, Karos Korzó (outdoor check-in area)

RACE INFORMATION

Each team will receive a designated start time. Team time begins from this assigned start time. If a team misses its official start time, they may still begin later; however, the delay will be included in their final time.
A team’s final result is determined by the time of the third rider crossing the finish line (measured from the official team start time).
Within the Race Category, if a team’s measured time does not exceed 125.0% of the fastest team’s time, it will automatically be classified in the PRO Division (except women’s teams).

Race – Men’s Amateur Division: 1st–3rd place – trophies & prizes
Race – Women’s Category: 1st–3rd place – trophies & prizes
Hobby – Men’s Category: 1st–3rd place – trophies & prizes
Hobby – Women’s Category: 1st–3rd place – trophies & prizes

ADDITIONAL REGULATIONS

All participants must use the race number provided by the organisers. Access to the start area is only permitted with an official race number.
Any bicycle type may be used (road, MTB, trekking, cross, etc.), except recumbents, e-bikes, or any electrically assisted bicycles.
Participation is at the rider’s own risk, in full compliance with race rules and Hungarian traffic regulations (KRESZ).
Helmet use is mandatory.
The organisers accept no liability for accidents, injuries, or any health-related incidents occurring during the event. No compensation will be provided.
All participants must display the official race number clearly on their bike/equipment.
The organisers reserve the right to change the route.
Participants acknowledge that they must know the course. Route markings and instructions must always be followed. If the lead vehicle makes a wrong turn, the organisers cannot be held responsible.
Participants under 18 years of age are not permitted to enter the team competition.
For the Szabadics Ride Company Challenge, the team result is determined by the time of the third rider.
Only participants present at the awards ceremony are eligible for the raffle.

PARTICIPANT DECLARATION

By registering, I declare that:

I participate at my own risk.
I am healthy and physically prepared for the start.
I consent to medical examination if necessary and accept the doctor’s instructions.
In the event of accident, injury, or any damage resulting from the above reasons or from violations of the event rules, or in case of absence, I will not make claims against the organisers.
I consent to photo, video, and audio recordings being made of me during the event.
I agree that such materials may be used for promotional purposes on event-related platforms without compensation.
I consent to the organiser and Olimpiai Ötpróba using and publishing photos, sound recordings, and videos taken or commissioned by the organiser, including previously published materials.

Refunds are available until 19 April 2026, with a handling fee of 2,000 HUF. No refunds will be issued after this date.
