Villtek Tour is a 61 km adventure through the most picturesque landscapes of Zala County, along quiet rural roads.

This tour goes just a step beyond a leisurely ride — and that’s exactly what makes it truly exciting! The route is varied, sometimes rolling, sometimes hilly, and the wind may well put your endurance to the test. Yet together, the distance is far easier to overcome. If you love cycling and are looking for a bit of a challenge in good company, join us and experience the strength that comes from riding as a community.

Programme

  • 10:00 – Neutral start from Zalakaros, Gyógyfürdő Square
  • 11:30 – First rider expected at the Zalakaros finish
  • 14:30 – Awards ceremony on the main stage at Karos Korzó
  • 16:30 – Prize draw on the main stage at Karos Korzó
    (Participation is only possible if you are present at the time of the draw and able to present your race number. Prizes will not be shipped.)

Course Information

  • Neutral start: 10:00, over a distance of 2 km
  • Distance / Elevation gain: 61 km / 531 m

  • Feed Zones: Felsőrajk (food & drinks), Nagyrada – Szelemi Hill climb (water), Zalakaros finish area (food & drinks). Littering is only permitted within the designated feed zones. Disposing of waste outside the feed zones will result in immediate disqualification.
  • Route: Zalakaros – Zalaszabar – Kilimán – Felsőrajk – Pacsa – Dióskál – Zalaszabar – Nagyrada (Szelemi hegy) – Zalakaros.

Timing: The race will use chip timing. Results will be updated online continuously. Final results will be posted at the venue after the event and made available for download on the event website. Timing starts at the neutral start, so the neutral section is included in the official race time. The timing mat is located at the start/finish gate and must be crossed with the chip

Entry

Registration & Race Pack

As in previous years, the value of the race pack will exceed the entry fee. Full details will be announced soon — stay tuned for updates.

Entry fee includes:

  • Race package
  • Access to 3 feed zones
  • Chip timing (frame number)
  • Race number
  • Category prizes (see below)
  • Medical service at the finish area between 09:00 – 18:00
  • Support cars (two of which will accompany the tour field, offering technical assistance or transport to the finish in case of serious mechanical issues)
  • Pasta party voucher
  • Entry to the prize draw (with race number)
  • 27% VAT

Entry fees (gross)

  • Until 30 January 2026: HUF 16,000
  • Until 31 March 2026: HUF 19,000
  • Until 17 June 2026: HUF 21,000
  • On-site registration: HUF 24,000 (cash only)

On-site registration is available in limited numbers and handled on a first-come, first-served basis due to technical constraints. If race packs are no longer available upon arrival, the Organizer cannot be held liable or obliged to provide compensation.

Registration process & collection of race numbers/race packs:
Pre-registered riders may collect prepared starter packs at designated counters via fast-track procedure.

  • No card payments are available on site.
  • On-site registration & Race pack collection times.

    (All special prize winners receive a trophy and a prize)

Additional Regulations

Additional Regulations:

  • Time limit: 4 hours.
  • E-bikes or any electrically assisted bicycles are not allowed.
  • Official race number provided by organisers must be worn at all times.
  • Start area access only with race number.
  • Any bicycle type is permitted (road, mountain, trekking, cross, etc.), except recumbents.
  • Aero bars are prohibited – use of aero bars leads to disqualification at the start.
  • Participation is at the rider’s own risk, in compliance with race rules and Hungarian traffic laws (KRESZ).
  • Helmet use is mandatory.
  • Organisers accept no liability for accidents, injuries, or health-related issues. No compensation will be provided.
  • Race numbers must be clearly displayed on the rider’s bike/equipment.
  • Organisers reserve the right to change the route.
  • Riders are responsible for knowing the course. Event route signs and markings must always be followed. If the lead vehicle takes a wrong turn, organisers are not liable.
  • The course is not closed to traffic – there will be only police escorts and traffic control.
  • Minimum age: 14 years.
  • Only riders who finish before the draw and are present at the raffle are eligible to win.

Participant Declaration:

By registering, I declare that:

  • I participate at my own risk.
  • I am healthy and physically prepared for the start.
  • I consent to medical examination if necessary and accept the doctor’s instructions.
  • In the event of accident, injury, or inability to participate due to reasons stated above or rule violations, I will not make claims against the organisers.
  • I consent to photo, video, and audio recordings being taken of me during the event.
  • I agree that such recordings may be used for promotional purposes on event-related platforms without compensation.
  • I consent to photos, videos, and audio recordings produced or commissioned by the organiser, already published, to be used by Olimpiai Ötpróba on its platforms.
  • I agree to receive the MAPEI Tour de Zalakaros newsletter at the email provided during registration. (To unsubscribe, please email info@tourdezalakaros.hu.)
  • Refunds: possible until 19 April 2026 in case of cancellation by email, with a handling fee of HUF 2,000. No refunds after 19 April 2026.
  • Distance change requests by email are free until online registration closes. On-site changes incur a HUF 2,000 administration fee.
    • Upgrading to a longer distance requires payment of the fee difference.
    • Switching to a shorter distance does not entitle participants to a refund of the difference.
